Overview

Dr.Browser is a Chrome extension that helps you manage browser tabs and monitor memory usage. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data we access, how we use it, and what we do not do.

Data We Access

Dr.Browser accesses the following information solely to provide its core features:

• Open tab URLs, titles, and activity timestamps — used to detect duplicate tabs and identify inactive tabs. This data is processed locally in your browser and is never transmitted.
• System memory information — used to display RAM usage in the popup. This data is read in real time and never stored or transmitted.
• Extension settings you configure (whitelist entries, suspend timer, preferences) — stored locally in Chrome's sync storage so your settings persist across devices. Never transmitted to any third party.

Data We Do Not Collect

• We do not collect, log, or store your browsing history.
• We do not transmit any data to external servers. Dr.Browser has no backend infrastructure.
• We do not use analytics, crash reporting, or any third-party SDKs.
• We do not sell, share, or monetize any data in any form.

Permissions

Permission	Why it's needed
tabs	Required to read open tab information for duplicate detection and inactivity tracking.
storage	Required to save your settings locally on your device.
system.memory	Required to display total and available RAM in the popup.
alarms	Required to run a background check every 5 minutes to detect and suspend inactive tabs.
notifications	Used only to alert you when a tab has been auto-suspended in the background. Can be disabled in Settings at any time.

Changes to This Policy

If this policy changes materially, we will update the date above and note the change in the extension's release notes published on the Chrome Web Store.
